PRINCE2® is one of the world’s most widely used project management methods. The method is adapted to support organizations that seek to adopt agile ways of working. This course provides a clear overview of PRINCE2® Agile and shows how its four integrated components – principles, themes, processes and project environment – are adapted to support agile methods.

PRINCE2® Agile version: This course is based on the PRINCE2® Agile guidance and exam syllabus.

3 days, including the final exam.

Prerequisites

Delegates should have an understanding of project management, but prior knowledge of PRINCE2® is not required.

Course Structure

This course includes interactive presentations supplemented by classroom sessions and other exam-like exercises.

  • PRINCE2 Agile guidance for each PRINCE2 theme
  • PRINCE2 Agile guidance for each PRINCE2 process
  • PRINCE2 Agile guidance for tailoring PRINCE2 management products
  • What to fix and what to flex, including setting tolerances and the five targets
  • Key agile concepts, terms and techniques, such as:
    • Scrum, Lean Startup
    • Retrospectives, User stories, Workshops
    • Burn charts, Agile estimation
    • Working agreements, Backlog, Epics
    • Information radiators, Spikes
    • Stand-up meetings, Timeboxes, Velocity
  • PRINCE2 Agile focus areas:
    • Agilometer
    • Requirements
    • Rich communication
    • Frequent releases

Course Objectives

  • Understand key concepts relating to projects, PRINCE2® and PRINCE2® Agile.
  • Understand how PRINCE2 principles, themes, processes and management products are tailored and applied in an agile context.
  • Understand agile ways of working, key terms and techniques.
  • Prepare to take the PRINCE2® Agile Foundation exam with confidence by applying their newly acquired knowledge.

Exam

The AXELOS PRINCE2® Agile Foundation exam is included.

Format: 60 multiple-choice questions
Duration: 60 minutes.

It is recommended to follow the training with an accredited organization using accredited courseware and trainers.
