This course is given as an intensive three-day workshop covering the practical application of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) principles to large-scale service scalability and reliability, with a focus on modern IT leadership and organizational change approaches.

It is intended for practitioners or managers looking to enhance platform and service reliability and resilience. At the end of the course, participants will take a 90-minute multiple-choice exam to obtain the international DevOps Institute (DOI)/PeopleCert SRE Practitioner certificate.

DevOps version: Based on the SRE Practitioner v1.2 Exam Requirements.

Language

The course, course materials and exam are in English.

Course duration

3 days of learning, including the final exam (scheduled later by the candidate).

Prerequisite

SRE Foundation certification required.

In 3 days participants will learn to:

  • Implement a flourishing SRE culture within an organisation
  • Understand key SRE principles, observability & antifragility
  • Apply resilience-by-design and Chaos engineering concepts
  • Understand SLIs, SLOs and Error Budgets
  • Use AI, AIOps and DataOps for optimisation
  • Improve incident response management
  • Prepare for and successfully pass the DOI/PeopleCert exam

Target audience

This course is intended for:

  • Personnel contributing to improved platform and service reliability
  • Participants with SRE Foundation certification
  • IT practitioners with 3–6 months experience (recommended)

Exam

The official DOI/PeopleCert SRE Practitioner exam is included.

The participant will receive a 12-month voucher and must schedule their own exam.

The exam is taken online and requires a connected computer with active audio and video.

Format: 40 multiple-choice questions
Duration: 90 minutes.
